About this project

Analysis of Denmark’s Water and Energy programmes and capacity building of their partners in Ethiopia, and formulation of Denmark’s contribution to the ONE WASH National Programme Phase III under the Bilateral Development Programme in Ethiopia (2025-2029) The purpose of the assignment is to have a consultancy company: 1. Conduct an analysis of the current Danish supported Energy and Water programmes and their partners to pinpoint where synergies and integration could be strengthened, and where capacities of partners can be improved; 2. Create 2-5 project proposals for water and energy nexus with a strong focus on the HOW, including integration of economic diplomacy and innovative financing mechanisms; 3. Design and conduct capacity building and awareness workshops on 2-5 areas within the Energy and Water nexus in Ethiopia based on the analysis conducted. 4. Identify and formulate the water engagement for 2027-2029 under Denmark’s Bilateral Development Programme in Ethiopia (2025-2029) – specifically under the strategic objective: supporting conflict sensitive and inclusive green growth. The assignment requires thorough revision of development engagement documents and annexes, key informant interviews with partners, missions to Ethiopia for partner conversations and capacity building, as well as writing development engagement documents and annexes in line with the Danida’s Aid Management Guidelines.
