About this project
The project aims to strengthen the climate resilience and incomes of smallholder forest coffee farmers in Ethiopia’s Bale region by promoting wild forest coffee production and complementary agroforestry practices, such as macadamia cultivation. It supports sustainable land management, forest conservation, and income diversification in one of Ethiopia’s key biodiversity hotspots, strengthening the resilience of farmers in the area. The business case is led by Original Food GmbH and its Swiss sister company, which markets wild forest coffee to specialty buyers in Europe.
