About this project

This allocation contributes to meeting the objectives of the UNHCR Regional Response Appeal Plan by supporting host countries in ensuring access to territory and asylum, providing timely, effective and inclusive life-saving protection and humanitarian assistance for those fleeing Sudan, strengthening national and local capacity to include refugees in national systems and services, and supporting neighbouring countries in managing population movements. Specifically, this project contributes to UNHCR’s work to provide assistance to IDPs in Sudan and Sudanese refugees in neighbouring countries including the DRC, Chad, Egypt, Libya, Ethiopia, CAR, Uganda, and South Sudan, offering protection, shelter, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), healthcare services, and economic support to displaced persons.
