About this project

The objective of the project is a green and sustainable reconstruction of Mykolaiv in Ukraine based on an increased number of attacks on energy and water facilities. The implemented measures will pave the way for a long-term investment approach by offering concrete examples of how to rethink energy provision and preservation, including energy efficiency measures as well as examples of sustainable water supply by building back better and greener already during war times. The key results of the engagement include following: • Citizens and internally displaced persons have improved access to access to climate friendly housing, public and municipal services • Improved municipal service obtained via measure targeted at reducing greenhouse gas emissions or reducing eutrophication of water causes • Improved energy supply and water access which will enhance municipal services delivered to citizens in Mykolaiv • Modernising existing sewage facilities and providing more ecologically sound and energy-efficient solutions for treating waste water.
