About this project
The project outcome is long-term sustainable water resources management for the Nairobi area through improved access to ground water information and that will also provide a basis for replication to other areas. This will be achieved through: • Improved ground water mapping and information • MAR sites identified • Business model replicating ground water studies in Kenya The project scope and outputs are not stand alone and are designed to expand and compliment the ongoing AWWDA ground water study. Based on discussion with AWWDA and the Artelia Consortium the value added of this mini-project to the ongoing study will be: • Improved technology for hydro-geophysical mapping and geographical area for survey • Enhanced data processing and modelling • Identification and assessment of areas for managed aquifer recharge
