About this project

Support is requested to finance Ethiopia’s climate pavilion at COP30 in Belém. Such support would help reinforce Ethiopia’s strong international climate commitments. Ethiopia has set ambitious goals for green and sustainable development and is committed to enhancing its resilience to climate change. The climate pavilion will provide Ethiopia with a platform to voice and showcase its climate policies and position itself as a frontrunner in the green transition for other countries to follow. Furthermore, the pavilion will offer an opportunity for Ethiopia to attract investors, companies, and other climate-driven actors to engage in Ethiopia’s green development. Finally, the support is consistent with the broader development priorities of Denmark’s engagement in Ethiopia, in which climate action constitutes a central focus.
