About this project

This DIBE project aims to explore the commercialization and market applications of two products: biochar and pyrolysis. Nordic Carbon Partners (NCP) A/S is establishing its first biochar production facility in Ghana, scheduled to begin operations in April 2026. The project will engage biofertilizer producers, Agro-industrial input traders, researchers, agricultural extension services, and local farmers to assess market potential, logistics, and offtake models. In addition, NCP will explore new partnerships and sources of biomass feedstock; both to utilize the existing plant’s excess capacity efficiently, but also as feedstock for a potentially new biochar production facility.
