About this project

The EU Global Gateway project supports the development of sustainable value chains for critical raw materials and green hydrogen in South Africa, contributing to the country’s green industrialisation, just energy transition, and economic development. It focuses on strengthening the enabling policy and regulatory environment, promoting investment and private sector engagement, enhancing skills, research and innovation, and supporting the development of competitive and sustainable value chains. Danish support aligns with Denmark’s foreign policy, development cooperation, and economic diplomacy priorities and will be a delegated partnership with the EU and EU Member States and implemented by GIZ.
