Elevating Opportunities for Sustainable Development Financing in Sierra Leone

About this project

The initiative enhances institutional capacity to boost credit rating readiness and fiscal transparency in Sierra Leone. It establishes a policy framework for the Carbon Market, strengthens governance, and maintains a national registry to track carbon credits. It restores 800 hectares of degraded land, reducing CO2 emissions by 200,000 metric tons. It provides alternative livelihoods for 1,000 youth and women while improving stakeholder knowledge on carbon crediting.
