About this project
Natural resources in Zanzibar are under increasing pressure from overexploitation, unsustainable land-use practices, and the impacts of climate change. Actions will be implemented to safeguard Zanzibar’s terrestrial and coastal habitats for multiple benefits by addressing the drivers of deforestation, land degradation, and biodiversity loss, while contributing to climate change mitigation and supporting environmentally sustainable income generating activities.
