About this project

Brazil has advanced its climate and forest agenda, but subnational jurisdictions still face institutional, technical, and regulatory barriers to implementing high-integrity jurisdictional REDD+ programs at scale. These gaps limit access to sustainable, results-based forest finance and weaken safeguards, governance, and credibility. Between 2026 and 2029, UNDP, with support from NICFI, will provide targeted technical assistance to strengthen state-level readiness for J-REDD+ implementation aligne
