About this project
This project conserves sharks and rays in Libya’s Mediterranean waters by combining science, capacity building, sustainable fisheries, and community engagement. Aligned with the NBSAP and the Blue Economy Committee’s work, it advances the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework through healthier ecosystems, resilient livelihoods, and inclusive marine governance, and the implementation of key mandates on the conservation of sharks and rays under CMS.
