La ejecución de la etapa I del plan de aplicación de la Enmienda de Kigali permitirá al Gobierno de México cumplir al 1º de enero de 2029 con la meta de reducir el consumo de HFC en un 10 por ciento respecto de la línea base de HFCs (MEX/KIP/93/INV/207, MEX/KIP/93/INV/209 y MEX/KIP/93/INV/210).El KIP Etapa I cuenta con la ONUDI como agencia líder para su implementación, así como el PNUMA y el PNUD como agencias de cooperación. .
