About this project

The Sudan Integrated Community Resilience Initiative (SIRI) is UNDP Sudan’s flagship on community resilience under the Resilience and Recovery Pillar. The Resilience and Recovery Pillar within the UNDP Sudan aspires to build the adaptative capacities of crises-affected communities to prevent, manage and recovery efficiently from disasters and to thrive. Our programming adopts the principles of Area-based integrated programming that enable the people of Sudan identify threats and anticipate risk and to draw on a range of assets, services and capabilities that enable them prevent, eliminate or reduce the impact of disaster on them and to recover efficiently with limited external support.
