Preparation of Kyrgyzstan’s Initial Biennial Transparency Report (BTR1); and a combined Second Biennial Transparency Report (BTR2/NC5) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change

About this project

To support Kyrgyzstan prepare and submit First Biennial Transparency Report (BTR1) and a combined Second Biennial Transparency Report and Fifth National Communication (BTR2/NC5) that comply with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and Paris Agreement reporting requirements while responding to national development goals. This project will also support the preparation and submission of the Adaptation Communication under the Paris Agreement as a component of the BTR1 and the BTR2/NC5 as specified in Article 7 of the Paris Agreement and Decision 9/CMA.1.). At the national level, the project will allow for “built-in flexibility” if the country needs it in light of its capacities and national circumstances, priorities and needs, while bridging gaps identified.
