About this project

The GEF SGP Phase 8 in the State of Palestine supports civil society organizations (CSOs) and community-based organizations (CBOs) in implementing community-driven initiatives that improve livelihoods, strengthen resilience, and generate global environmental benefits. Through a landscape-seascape approach, the project provides technical assistance, capacity development, knowledge sharing, and small grants to local communities, with a particular focus on vulnerable groups, including women, youth, persons with disabilities, and marginalized populations. The project promotes sustainable natural resource management, ecosystem restoration, biodiversity conservation, and community resilience while fostering innovation, partnerships, and multi-stakeholder collaboration to achieve greater environmental and socioeconomic impact.
