About this project

Healthy ecosystems and biodiversity are the foundation of sustainable development. Since the 1992 Rio Conference, various reforms have been pursued to promote green transitions, nature-based solutions, net-zero targets, and sustainable finance. However, the diverse approaches and financial instruments have led to fragmented policy frameworks, resulting in duplication and competition for resources. An integrated approach, leveraging synergies between Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs), is essential for efficient resource allocation and achieving synergies at the climate-nature-development nexus, particularly in sectors like food and agriculture.
