About this project
Djibouti lies at the crossroads of vulnerability. From flash floods and droughts to wildfires and strong winds, our communities face a constant threat from extreme weather events. The TIAEWS Djibouti project recognizes this unique vulnerability and proposes a powerful solution. This project goes beyond a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, we will embark on a rigorous assessment of Djiboutis existing early warning capabilities. This comprehensive analysis will examine plans, governance structures, technology infrastructure, and most importantly, the crucial element of community engagement. By pinpointing areas for significant impact, TIAEWS Djibouti will deliver a tailored early warning system that strengthens our nations preparedness and resilience.
