About this project
The project presents an opportunity to consolidate past efforts, scale up proven practices, and introduce sustainable, system-wide approaches that go beyond isolated interventions, ensuring long-term environmental, social, and economic benefits. The project interventions introduce integrated MSWM solutions that address the entire chain from waste generation to final disposal. The objectives of this project are to: 1. Review, strengthen and develop inclusive policy, regulatory, institutional, and green financing frameworks on municipal solid waste management (MSWM) at provincial and local levels. 2. Demonstrate viable, sustainable Public Private Partnership (PPP) options for total MSWM solutions and a system for GHG emission reduction management in the selected Local Authorities (LAs). 3. Gather and share knowledge, support training, replication, and scalability of project results, and manage, monitor, and evaluate the project performance including GHG emission reduction.
