NDC 3.0 Implementation Support

About this project

The Climate Promise 2 support will directly enable the operationalization of Pacific Island Countries’ enhanced NDC 3.0 commitments through the development of costed implementation plans. It contributes by aligning mitigation and adaptation priorities, such as renewable energy transitions and resilience-building, with long-term strategies including Low-Emission Development Strategies (LEDS) and National Adaptation Plans (NAPs). The support also institutionalizes inclusive governance, strengthens technical capacity, and develops a pipeline of bankable climate projects, ensuring Pacific Island Countries can transparently implement and monitor their NDCs while mobilizing much-needed climate finance.
