About this project
The project “Restoring the Degraded Habitats of Forested Areas in the Agricultural Landscapes of Northern Jordan” aims to rehabilitate and sustainably manage the Al-Me’raad Watershed by applying an integrated forest–agriculture–landscape approach that supports both ecosystem recovery and community wellbeing. It will restore 3,800 hectares of degraded forest and grazing areas, enhance sustainable land management across 1,710 hectares, and avoid an estimated 710,245 tCO2e of emissions while strengthening management effectiveness in 850 hectares of protected areas.
