This GEF Project Preparation Grant supports the development of the full UNDP-GEF project on Integrated Management of Permafrost Peatland in Northern China for Biodiversity Conservation and Climate Actions. The project aims to strengthen conservation and restoration in two priority peatland landscapes through policy reforms, ecosystem-service incentives, protected area management, peatland restoration, sustainable land-use practices, community-based monitoring, and climate and biodiversity finance.
