About this project
The objective of the GEF PPG is to develop the project concept into a full project: Just Energy Transition in Hard-to-Abate Sectors: Cement, Residential LPG Cooking, and Thermal Energy Uses. As described in the project concept, this project aims to accelerate the transition to low-emission systems in three hard-to-abate sectors — the cement industry, residential LPG-based cooking, and cross-cutting thermal energy uses through the development of action plans, the adjustment of normative and regulatory frameworks, the implementation of pilot projects, communication and awareness campaigns, and the strengthening of technical capacities. Additionally, gender and social justice aspects will be integrated to ensure an inclusive and just transition.
