About this project
The objective of the Green and Inclusive Cities in Mongolia project is to support integrated urban planning and investment in nature-positive, climate-resilient, and carbon-neutral development across Ulaanbaatar, Darkhan, and Erdenet. As part of the GEF-8 Global Sustainable Cities Integrated Program, the project is designed to address key threats including land degradation, air and water pollution, climate-induced flooding, and weak municipal governance. The project’s three components respond to critical policy, financial, and institutional barriers.
