About this project
The District-Level Disability-Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction (Di-DRR) initiative pilots and validates a scalable model for embedding disability inclusion within district-level disaster risk governance and community preparedness systems across 10 high-risk districts in Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, and Odisha. The project addresses critical gaps in inclusive preparedness by strengthening institutional frameworks, improves the use of disability-relevant risk data, integrates assistive technology considerations into preparedness planning, and builds inclusive community preparedness capacities aligned with the Sendai Framework priorities, and the national commitments. The initiative will generate tested tools, governance arrangements, and learning to support NDMA-led national scale-up.
