About this project
UNRWA will assist 15,000 households through immediate psychological first aid and cash-based shelter support to cope with displacement, minor shelter repairs, and/or the rapid loss of livelihoods. The Crisis Intervention Unit and shelter team will identify and assess households for assistance, with referrals made internally to other UNRWA programmes and externally to specialized humanitarian actors. Additionally, UNRWA will support up to 500 households to rehabilitate their shelters using a self-help cash transfer approach, with technical oversight from Agency engineers, and will provide NFIs to 1,900 newly displaced households.
