About this project

UNRWA will restore access to critical WASH services in the most affected camps by repairing damaged sewage networks, providing emergency household water connections and mitigating health risks associated with sewage, flooding and water contamination, complemented by enhanced water quality monitoring. The Agency will strengthen solid waste management by replacing damaged waste containers, maintaining its solid waste collection fleet and providing essential equipment and supplies to sanitation workers. It will also continue solid waste operations in collective shelters for internally displaced persons and scale up services as needed to meet increased operational demands. In addition, UNRWA will provide hygiene kits to 9,000 displaced and vulnerable families in northern camps and highly affected communities in Hebron, Bethlehem, Ramallah and Jericho.
