About this project
UNRWA will provide legal aid to 9,000 Palestine refugees in Lebanon, prioritizing PRS affected by the suspension of residency permit renewals. Services will include legal awareness, individual consultations, and representation. Support will be extended to 300 GBV survivors - men, women, children, and persons with disabilities - through case management, group psychosocial support (PSS), and livelihood aid, alongside community-based prevention initiatives. Emergency protection cash assistance will reach 140 individuals facing acute protection risks. Around 29,520 refugees, including GBV and child protection cases, will receive community-based PSS through UNRWA-contracted psychologists in coordination with relevant sectors. To enhance disability inclusion, UNRWA will conduct school awareness, community consultations, and trainings, support the Palestinian Disability Forum, distribute assistive devices, and pilot disability data collection in schools. Child protection efforts will include anti-bullying campaigns, SOPs, and safe spaces in collaboration with protection networks. UNRWA will provide Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) to 1,000 students and partner with the Lebanese Mine Action Centre for ERW risk assessments and mitigation. Additionally, 1,000 staff will be trained on protection principles - including disability inclusion, gender, GBV, PSEA, and child protection - with quarterly compliance monitoring to ensure equitable service deliver
