About this project

To address conflict-related damage and ensure uninterrupted access to safe water, UNRWA will urgently rehabilitate two water wells in Burj Barajneh and one in Wavel camp, as well as repair damaged solar systems powering wells. Critical water, sewerage, and stormwater networks will be restored in affected camps, and fuel will be provided for pumping operations in 11 camps. Within DESs, WASH services will be maintained through water trucking, testing, chlorine tablets, cleaning supplies, and solid waste disposal. Routine maintenance of educational facilities used as DESs will support safe living conditions for IDPs. Hygiene needs will be met through the distribution of tailored hygiene, baby, and dignity kits. UNRWA will also rehabilitate solid waste platforms and manage waste collection and transfer to mitigate health risks and improve sanitation across camps.
