About this project

The Agency will prioritise repairs and maintenance at 124 UNRWA installations across Syria, including distribution centres, area offices, community centres, schools and health centres. In 2024, UNRWA began work on the Yarmouk multi-purpose centre, with further funding needed in 2025 to complete it. The rehabilitated Sarafand-Al Mujeidel school in Yarmouk now serves over 1,600 students for the 2024/25 academic year, up from 600 at reopening. Under the 2025 EA, UNRWA will prioritise the Nimreen school’s rehabilitation in Yarmouk to meet rising educational demand. The multi-purpose centres in Khan Eshieh and Ein el Tal also require significant repairs. To support reliable, sustainable energy, a solar panel system will be installed at the DTC.
