About this project
In 2025, UNRWA expects to conduct at least 1,000,000 consultations and support 10,800 secondary and tertiary referrals, covering 75–95% of hospitalization costs. MHPSS will remain a priority, with one mobile clinic serving conflict-affected Duma, expected to reach 8,000 patients. Alarming rates of child malnutrition, with wasting rising from 3.7% in 2019 to 7% in 2023, have prompted UNRWA to provide six-month lipid-based nutrient supplements to all children aged 6–24 months, prioritizing high-risk cases if funding is limited. Additional health support will include 1,000 physiotherapy sessions, 500 assistive devices, and 6,000 baby kits for pregnant women. UNRWA will provide care to Palestine refugees arriving from outside Syria, meet rising medication and personnel demands, and offer MHPSS in government shelters and Agency installations. Awareness campaigns in shelters will inform refugees about available services. To strengthen AAP, 50 health staff will receive engagement training, and 10 community volunteers per camp will be trained in health sensitization.
