About this project

UNRWA will continue providing sanitation services across all 11 Palestine refugee camps in Syria, including solid waste collection and transport to government-designated landfill sites. To improve service quality hindered by years of sanctions and outdated equipment, the Agency will procure upgraded compactors and tractors. Under the EA, UNRWA will also distribute essential WASH items to 6,200 vulnerable Palestine refugees, including hygiene kits for 500 families (1,700 individuals), diapers for 500 infants, and incontinence pads for 4,000 older persons and individuals with disabilities. Critical infrastructure works will include repairing the main sewage line in Neirab camp near Aleppo, rehabilitating the Dera’a water system, and restoring the Ramadan well in Rural Damascus to ensure continued access to safe drinking water.
