About this project

This project aims at restoring livelihoods and enhancement of food and nutrition security for fishers affected by Cyclone Ditwah in Sri Lanka's Eastern Province by rapidly rebuilding fish stocks, rehabilitating critical inland fisheries infrastructure, and supporting affected communities to resume sustainable and remunerative fishing activities. Collectively, these interventions will strengthen household incomes, stabilize inland fish production, and enhance the long-term resilience and adaptive capacity of inland fishing communities in Ampara, Batticaloa, and Trincomalee districts
