Development of Somalia`s AFOLU MRV System with other partners support

About this project

Developing a national MRV system will therefore play a critical role in strengthening Somalia?s climate transparency architecture, enabling the country to meet its international reporting obligations while improving national planning and policy coherence. The MRV system will support the integration of data systems across institutions, enhance coordination between the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change and relevant sector ministries, and ensure consistent reporting for NDC implementation, gender-responsive climate actions, BTR preparation, and future climate finance mobilisation.
