About this project
PHL 102 supports the Government of the Philippines and social partners in implementing national employment policies and plans, including the Philippine Labor and Employment Plan (LEP) 2023 to 2028, the Trabaho para sa Bayan Act (TPB), and the Bangsamoro Development Plan (BDP) 2023 to 2028. It aims to strengthen employment policy frameworks and institutional capacities to promote inclusive, sustainable, and decent work. PHL 102 will also assist in the implementation of the national roadmap under the Global Accelerator on Jobs and Social Protection for Just Transitions and contributes to the establishment of national initiatives under the Global Coalition for Social Justice, aligned with selected thematic areas. The CPO supports ongoing and pipeline work related to institutional capacity building on employment analysis and related studies, including public expenditure reviews, employment impact and policy simulations, just transition and crisis response and formalization. It contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UN SDCF) 2024 to 2028 Strategic Priority 2 on sustainable economic development and decent work, particularly Outcome 2 and Output 2.3, by strengthening institutions and systems to build a competitive, inclusive, and future-ready workforce. Implementation involves collaboration with government agencies, workers and employers organizations, and development partners.
