About this project
ARAF is a climate change adaptation focused fund designed to finance early stage micro-, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) serving smallholder farmers in three African countries. • GCF plays a catalytic role in launching a first of its kind adaptation-focused agriculture fund in Africa benefiting smallholder farmers through innovative private social entrepreneurs. • Partnership with GCF has shifted the focus of Acumen towards investment in climate change mitigation and adaptation. • It contributes to developing a toolkit to monitor adaptation impact from the farmers’ perspective and building quantitative and qualitative adaptation impact data to be shared with green impact investment communities.
