About this project
The Energy Access Relief Facility (“EARF”) is a concessional debt fund that is intended to provide energy access companies with vital liquidity, reducing the adverse impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. • The programm aims to facilitate the establishment of an emergency relief facility that will help companies in the energy access sector stay solvent and remain in business well beyond the COVID-19 pandemic. • Through increased low-emission energy access and power generation, the facility will contribute to avoiding 1.33 MtCO2eq of emissions which would be produced without relief funding. • 20,734 jobs will be saved in the local companies and 16,340,243 beneficiaries will be provided with new electricity access.
