About this project

TACATDP is a lending facility that aims to strengthen agriculture resilience and adaptation (ARA) through affordable credit and innovative de-risking financial instruments. • The programme addresses adaptation needs in the agriculture sector which is a key contributor to the economy and highly vulnerable to climate change risks. • It focuses on the Tanzanian agriculture crop sector to promote the adoption of adaptation technologies to address climate risks and increase crop yields resiliently. • By establishing the large-scale lending facility and deploying de-risking instruments, the programme will help de-risk credit for smallholder farmers and agriculture MSMEs and unlock private investments for scaling up ARA lending in the country.
