About this project
The Global Fund for Coral Reefs (GFCR) is a blended finance facility seeking to save coral reef ecosystems for future generations and to support adaptation and resilience for communities dependent on these reefs. • This programme would be GCF’s first at-scale private sector programme in the adaptation result area. • The investment window aims to provide risk capital to private companies that will invest in activities that address local drivers of degradation, thus helping in enhancing reef resilience. • The programme will help increase resilience of an estimated 29,021 hectares (ha) of coral reefs and 38.2 million of people that depend on coral reef ecosystems.
