About this project

CI2 is a multi-tranche blended finance infrastructure fund managed by Climate Fund Managers (CFM), with the mission to develop and construct infrastructure projects in developing countries in the water, sanitation, and ocean sectors that reduce the effects and consequences of climate change. • The first GCF at scale private sector programme in the water and sanitation sector to mobilize capital at scale. • It addresses the lack of private financing options in developing countries by providing a whole-of-life project financing solution. • It will contribute to biodiversity benefits with an estimated 1.8 hectares of riverine, marine, wetland and coastal ecosystems.
