About this project
The programme is a de-risking, financing and technical assistance facility aiming to catalyse the industrial energy efficiency market in Indonesia and its neighbouring Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries. • The credit guarantee from GCF to LFIs, combined with capacity-building support develops the local market for financing energy efficiency projects. • It will create more demand for energy efficiency projects in high-emitting industrial sectors by reducing the risk premium and consequently the interest rate, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises, and developing energy savings insurance. • It supports the development of new business models and more conducive regulations for energy efficiency investments in Indonesia, with knowledge-sharing to other ASEAN countries.
