CATALI.5°T Initiative: Concerted Action To Accelerate Local I.5° Technologies – Latin America and West Africa

About this project

The programme will establish and implement regional technical assistance and investment grant platforms that build a portfolio of early-stage climate ventures in Latin America and West Africa. Each regional CATALI.5°T will provide support for start-ups and young businesses with the highest climate mitigation impact and business growth. • There is an opportunity to leap-frog emissions intensive development pathways in Latin America and West Africa. It provides critical financial and non-financial support to support climate mitigation start-ups which develop transformative home-grown solutions and provide demonstration effects and replicable models. • The MORSE (Model for Regional climate Start-up Ecosystem impacts) model is a first-of-its kind climate technology innovation impact model for developing countries.
