About this project
The Avaana Sustainability Fund (ASF) is an equity fund that will focus on early-stage companies that are enabling climate action and sustainable consumption and production in India. • ASF will be the first venture capital fund that solely focuses on climate adaptation and resilience in India. This is unique in that other venture capital funds do climate investments as part of their diversified sectors. • The programme provides investors with access to a diversified portfolio of early stage start-ups in multiple sectors in India, reducing investment risk. • Minimum concessional funding: ASF does not seek a concessional component, and it will raise equity capital from its investors and deploy the same into the investee companies. • ASF is dedicated to being gender-conscious, with its investment strategy of investing in companies creating solutions for affected women, including gender-inclusive policies.
