Reconsider Financing : Improvement of Wastewater Management and Sanitary Services in Al Ghadir Drainage Basin

About this project

The main objective of the project is to improve wastewater management and sanitary services for about 1.1 million people in Al-Ghadir drainage basin, by (i) Upgrading and increasing the capacity of the existing WWTP at Al-Ghadir area (south of Beirut city) to 140,000 m3/day, and (ii) Constructing new sewerage networks and connecting the already built networks to the treatment plant. This will significantly reduce environmental pollution and improve the socio-economic conditions of the population.
