About this project
Under the South Sudan Humanitarian Assistance and Resilience Programme, the overall objective of the proposed intervention is to contribute to prevent, reduce and mitigate serious health risks and associated protection concerns among people in vulnerable situations. The project also aims to strengthen equitable provision and sustainability of service delivery by gradually transitioning from humanitarian assistance focused on internally displaced persons to greater ownership, leadership and management by state government and communities in urban areas. To achieve this, the International Organization is engaging with state-level government bodies to identify priorities, assess needs, define key areas of focus and establish frameworks that promote meaningful involvement for local government and communities.
