About this project
The proposed project aims to support the return and reintegration of displaced populations by addressing key barriers that hinder their ability to rebuild their lives. It will promote durable solutions and facilitate the social and economic reintegration of internally displaced persons (IDPs), including those displaced due to climate change, IDP returnees, returnees from Northeast Syria (NES) and returnees from abroad, as well as host communities through facilitating their access to civil documentation and housing, land and property (HLP) rights, and enhancing their active engagement in community. This will be achieved through (1) providing direct assistance, (2) supporting the government in addressing structural obstacles through strengthening the systems and institutions overseeing issuance of civil documentation, and (3) building and reinforcing the capacities of local entities to foster sustainable reintegration
