About this project
Aimed to strengthen inclusion in national systems to better meet immediate essential needs while addressing the root causes of vulnerability to accelerate the development of human, social, and economic capital, the proposed project is based on the following principles: - Resilience Building: Empower displaced and host communities to recover independently after a shock.- Conflict-Sensitive Approach: Systematically address conflict sensitivity and strengthen social cohesion through all interventions.- Clear Progression Path: Clearly articulate the progression from emergency assistance to interventions aimed at strengthening empowerment and resilience, with a specific attention on data and analysis.- Area-based programming: Select jointly a limited number of sites to implement an integrated package. The intervention supports the implementation of the Joint Response Plan for the Gulf of Guinea countries which include a clear Humanitarian-Development-Peace (HDP) nexus approach. In Benin and Togo, the project will target Materi and Banikoara communes (Benin), and a limited number of sites in the Savannes region (Togo).
