About this project

According to the 2025 Humanitarian Needs Overview, an estimated 19.5 million people need humanitarian assistance in Yemen, among whom 17 million are in need of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services. For more than nine years, the country has been crippled by large-scale displacement driven by conflict and a deteriorating economy in recent times as a result of inflation. In line with the national Cluster WASH strategy, IOM seeks to contribute to safe and dignified living conditions by improving access to water supply services in target areas. IOM's approach under this project will consist of first-line WASH interventions to respond to the immediate water supply needs of target populations in Ma'rib.
