About this project

The project supports people in Jamaica whose homes and communities were damaged by Hurricane Melissa. Many families lost safe shelter and remain displaced in crowded conditions with limited access to basic services. The 8-month intervention will assist 15,000 people facing the greatest needs. Activities focus on improving access to safe temporary living arrangements, providing essential household items, and restoring community spaces through debris clearing. The project also offers psychological first aid to help affected individuals manage distress and strengthen coping strategies as recovery begins.
