About this project

The project addresses the humanitarian crisis in 11 departments and 52 municipalities in Colombia affected by the conflict, where displaced persons, confined communities, and migrants face severe shortages of basic services. The intervention is based on two complementary pillars:Direct humanitarian assistance through the provision of life-saving aid in sectors such as shelter, water and sanitation (WASH), protection, camp management (CCCM), and health.Continuous technical optimization of the response process, using real-time evidence to adjust actions and ensure accountability. The project’s approach combines immediate assistance with the strengthening of local protection mechanisms. Through the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) tool, IOM monitors and assesses needs before intervening, ensuring that assistance is appropriate and does not cause collateral damage.
